Dr. Halepota was born in the city of Hyderabad on the banks of the River Indus. He attended Sindh Medical College and graduated at the top of his class. He moved to the US and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky in 1996. He then practiced Internal Medicine in Kentucky for 4 years serving an indigent population in one of the poorest counties of Kentucky. In recognition of his service he was commissioned into “The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels” by the Governor of Kentucky in 1999. He then went on to complete a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Kentucky. He then moved to Phoenix to join Palo Verde Hematology Oncology.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology.
He works very closely with the Virginia Piper Cancer Center and T-Gen with patients on clinical trials.
He was Chief of Medicine at Paradise Valley Hospital in the past.
His activities outside of medicine include cricket, tennis and swimming. He also enjoys philately, reading and travel.
